I spent Friday afternoon in the capital of Montpelier, in my home state of Vermont. My beloved Aunt Alice was traveling through from Santa Fe, offering an excuse for a field trip back home. The weather has been dismal lately here in the Northeast, but the sun did cooperate for a few of hours — enough to offer a quintessential fix of Fall. And there’s nothing like Fall in the Green Mountains! I snapped a few pics with my iPhone {and tried the new panoramic feature too}.
I posted one of these shots this afternoon on my personal Facebook page and there were so many “likers” that I thought I’d share here too. I tried to use jazzy borders and things to distract from my iPhone photography. Did it work? Enjoy the Autumn eye candy, here at the Vermont State House:

Sigh. I love Vermont.

Beautiful photos!! That’s actually one thing I do miss about home – the FALL foilage. Before moving to Saratoga – I spent 5 years in Blue Mountain Lake – the Adirondack foilage was also stunning – and then Saratoga and my drive to work each day in Gloversville didn’t disappoint either. Love the borders. Have you tried experimenting with collage apps – on the iphone? They are fun too. Happy Fall and enjoy the leaves! Thanks for allowing me to again enjoy my home area!!
Hi Jennifer!
There’s just something about that perfect Fall day, isn’t there — even an hour or moment — with the sun and the full color and the crisp air. It sounds like you have some glorious Fall memories — and something to look forward to again one day! Glad you enjoyed the pictures. What app do you use for collage on your phone?

So pretty. Makes me want to go for a hike. I think I will. Thanks Beth
Enjoy the hike, Kim! Brrrrrr…….! Chilly out!
Really good eye, Beth! I once knew a woman who said she didn’t get Spring Fever, she got Fall Fever, and I know exactly what she means. To be driving and spot a tree that makes you put on your brakes, now that’s quintessential fall!
Kudos also to the gardeners who designed and planted those beautiful beds of mums, grasses and cabbages. (And then, of course, Mother Nature and Jack Frost deserve some high praise for their team effort!)

Amazing photos! They almost seem unreal they are so perfect. Mother nature sure is amazing. Last week I’ve been driving the crew carpool the ‘back way’ to crew and we go thru some areas where the foliage is at it’s peak. The chatting kids in my car may not notice but I’ve been loving it! And so grateful we have this in our backyard. I too grew up in Vermont. Nothing beats VT colors but have enjoyed getting a taste of it so close to home.
Oh, and you’ve convinced me to get an iPhone too. Those are quality pics, although I suspect it will take some practice to reach your skill level as a photographer!
Hi Beth- these photos are so beautiful! I’m in Hancock and loving the fall that I hardly notice when I’m in New York City. I’ve got to get out that camera!
Hi to the family!

Dee-lish! I just want to order a pile of those yummy orange leaves and jump into it! Awesome photos Beth…
